Lisa Marvil DMD
Dr. Marvil grew up in Loudoun County, was a member of the Loudoun Hunt Pony Club and attended Lovettsville Elementary, Blue Ridge Middle School, and Loudoun Valley High School. She opened Loudoun Periodontics in Purcellville, VA in 2005 and in Sterling, VA in 2015. Dr. Marvil has a core staff that has been working alongside her since the beginning, making them well-versed in managing her patients’ unique needs.
Dr. Marvil is a board-certified periodontist. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a degree in English Literature and completed a Masters in teaching at Duke University. After the experience of teaching both abroad and in the US, Lisa decided she might be interested in pursuing something else. She called her family dentist in Leesburg, asked if she could come and help out, and from that moment on she was hooked. She left her small horse farm in Lovettsville to attend dental school at Harvard University. After graduating from Harvard where she was the recipient of the Quintessence Award for Excellence in Clinical Periodontology, she received a Masters degree in Health Sciences and her Certificate in Periodontology from the Medical University of South Carolina where she was chief resident in her final year.
